Born 1993 in Basel, Özge Akyol is currently doing her Master in European Global Studies at the University of Basel. Alongside her studies, she is working as a student assistant for Prof. Dr. Bilgin Ayata at the chair of Political Sociology and as a tutor for the lecture “Global Debates, Eurocentrism and Methodology” by Prof. Dr. Ralph Weber from the Institute for European Global Studies. She studied Political Science and Contemporary History (BA) at the University of Zurich (2013-2017). There, she has also worked as a student assistant for the research projects “Role Models, Spillovers, and the Supply Side of Women's Political Representation” at the chair of Policy Analysis and “Years of Turmoil. The Political Consequences of the Economic Crisis” at the chair of Swiss Politics and Comparative Political Economy.
