BA/MA examination

Please contact the examiner with whom you would like to take the BA or MA examination well ahead of time. You should contact them six months before the actual examination date, in order to come to an agreement about the goal and the topic, as well as to give you sufficient time to prepare.

MA theses

One of the reports must be written by a professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Basel. Upon request, the Dean of Studies will make a decision about justified exceptions. The second examiner must at least hold a doctorate. You should contact potential supervisors six months before registering for the master’s thesis.
