Johannes Truffer, M.A., born on 28.12.1994, is a PhD student at the Department of Sociology at the University of Basel. He studied sociology and philosophy at the Universities of Lucerne and Basel and received his M.A. from the latter in 2021. He is working on his doctorate at the Chair of Social Structure Analysis at the University of Basel (Prof. Dr. Oliver Nachtwey) as part of the SNSF project "Contentious Non-Compliance with Pandemic Response". His focal areas are critical social theory, authoritarianism and digitalization research. His first project publication ("The Formation and Consolidation of a Motley Crew: A Mixed-Method Overview of Swiss and German Corona Protests") will be published by German Politics and Society in the second half of 2024.
