Dr. Remo Reginold is President of the Swiss Institute for Global Affairs (SIGA), a Swiss research institute and think tank specializing in geopolitics and security affairs.

His research focuses on the geopolitics of knowledge, geopolitical narratives, and symbolic politics. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from the humanities, social anthropology, area studies, and strategic studies, he examines how knowledge systems, infrastructures, and symbolic orders shape international systems and geopolitical power. His work further explores institutional and infrastructural interdependencies between the Global North and Global South, as well as the evolving New Space ecosystem.

He studied Political Science, Philosophy, and Theology and has held research appointments and visiting fellowships at the Centre of South Asian Studies (University of Cambridge), Ancient India & Iran Trust, Cambridge, the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies (MESAAS) at Columbia University, and the University of California, Berkeley. In Paris, he served as Sous-Directeur de Recherche at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH), where he was affiliated with the Programme Asie du Sud/TReND.
