Serdar Kandil studied Economics (BA) at Yildiz Technical University and European Studies (MA) at Sabanci University in Istanbul. He is a doctoral candidate at the Sociology Department of the University of Basel since September 2017. He is a member of the Feminist Researchers Against Borders and the Research Association Switzerland-Turkey. His research explores the legal integration of Alevism in eleven European countries.
